Why have they only released fixtures up to the weekend of 20/1? According to the below they were obliged to go to 3/2. https://www.efl.com/how-to-watch/tv-game-selection-process/

For me one of the worst things about people not singing is that they have to fill the silence with their ridiculous opinions on the game or our players. Yesterday, I had the unfortunate experience of having to endure one bloke calling us pathetic and/or a disgrace every 5 minutes (can’t imagine how much he enjoyed last season), calling Mads a useless cvnt for daring to not boot the ball out of play and then demonstrated his superior football IQ by saying ‘see that’s what happens when we get it forward’ after we scored. Well done mate.

Last night I actually thought it started pretty well (in WU3). There were some good renditions absolutely belted out and the acoustics in the upper tier made them sound pretty loud to me. Sadly that lasted about 10 minutes and the rest was absolutely pathetic. I’ve done Burton, Liverpool and Wednesday away this season and all three are contenders for worst away end you’ll see.
-
With apologies to the old school FT posters in this picture… if you hate it as much as most of those shown appear to, the question must be - why bother?
-
Especially considering the last 20 minutes of each game are when we seem to play our best stuff when the oppo open up a bit!
-
10 minutes It’s 2 at an absolute maximum. What are they supposed to do, tell the ref and oppo to wait a sec whilst they celebrate with the fans first?
-
This is probably the general assumption the club makes about kids at matches but from what I can see they don’t want the shit sanitised experience either. My 10 year old has been to two away games this season (Burton and Liverpool) and he’s come away from both annoyed that there was no singing section. That tells you everything you need to know about the state of our ends…
-
This is absolutely true and ridiculous. The club are shooting themselves in the foot long term by a) not addressing a nonsensical priority points system and b) not releasing tickets for general sale. Add the nonsense ‘collect your ticket with ID’ shite and you’ve got a whole heap of reasons the away ends are getting worse before you even start blaming those actually in attendance.

To be fair, I think they just moved him to a different area as surely there would have been more uproar from his mates etc if he’d been ejected. Still a bit ridiculous for stewards to even engage with him, mind.
-
Think this was when there was a bit of a scare in the middle of the stand to our right where people seemed to be frantically signalling to stewards, medics etc that there was a serious medical emergency. Think the whole ground was just watching this unfold, wondering whether the game should be stopped whilst being baffled at the slow reaction of staff, and then subsequently being completely perplexed as the fan in question just appeared to walk off the terrace and take a seat in the disabled area as if nothing had happened. Was a very odd few minutes. The atmosphere in general though was fvcking crap. Wasn’t expecting much but I’d have been embarrassed if we’d turned out that as a non-league club. ‘We’ve got the ball’ has to stop, immediately. Only saving grace was the 10 min spell where we paid homage to our old players. That was good.

To the morons who attach themselves to union FS

I wasn’t there today but let’s be frank; this has been brewing all season and perhaps since the communication cock-up the Club made at the outset of the singing section trial. With that muck-up they effectively put a target on UFS’ back with how they handled it and given the way the season has panned out, a section of our fan base would always be looking for a scapegoat given they believe the Club itself are beyond reproach. No surprise to me that it all kicked off today because it’s been bubbling away for months and emotions were at their peak. I’ve seen a fair few examples in recent weeks of people approaching the front of the UFS section attempting to take them to task for singing anti-board or booing because they are seen as the de-facto ‘lead’ of the singing section and should, in some people’s view, support the team no matter what. In those instances people are incredibly quick to forget that they are calling out the same people who sing all game (until the situation becomes untenable and/or poor performance needs calling out) and many of whom spend untold time preparing tifos etc… and before anyone says ‘that doesn’t make them better fans’ I know, but it does entitle them to vent in whatever way they wish - especially when it is so clear the club has been mismanaged and run into the ground for 2 years.- 209 replies

This is a nice idea and the right sentiment but given the fact we sold out (as we did in 2009, albeit a smaller allocation), conducting a boycott of any size in order to actually be noticed is pretty much impossible. Calling lads embarrassing for directly airing their views on this in the stadium is very much ‘…yet you participate in society, I am very intelligent’ meme vibes.

PROVIDE YOUR THOUGHTS ON SINGING SECTION TRIALS

Fantastic. Well done to the Club for listening to those survey results, which were pretty categoric. -
I think it’s about the best argument for not doing anything about stopping climate change.
-
As much as I’m sure Cardiff would be welcome, he’s not actually ever been involved with UFS or met any of the group... unlike you who I believe once turned up to beg the group to hang a flag up for you? Not sure why you had to ask. Bit odd. Could you not reach?
-
Probably for the reasons he outlines directly below for a start.

Even if the ‘decision’ was pathetic and spineless? Sometimes it’s right to call a spade a spade. Tracey Crouch did not put across any sort of counter-argument and has flown in the face of mounting safety expert advice - her opinion cannot be respected. Petition has been signed.

Think it's harsh to argue they are closing the purse strings - we had a pretty big net spend in the summer (assuming Silva deal will still go through) and our wage bill is through the roof in comparison to 2-3 years ago. That said, I think they have made mistakes - the biggest of which is to surround themselves with staff who continue to look fairly incompetent at this level. Rudkin's deficiencies are clear but I don't see what Andrew Neville brings to the Club either. If we're honest and judging on the rest of their appointments, they got desperate when re-appointing NP, fluked the appointment of Ranieri, and now seemingly have no idea how we can progress with the most expensively assembled squad in our history. I admire their loyalty and willingness to persist with the idea that consistency and continuity within a club's management is important to long-term success, but I think we're at a crossroads and they will need to make some tough decisions very soon if they want us to take advantage of being recent Champions.

Plaudits for our Atmosphere, let's keep it up

Please don't judge the Kop on Tuesday. I'd guess that 50% of regulars across the Kop were missing and replaced with non-ST holders who knew no songs/weren't willing to sing or were actually Liverpool fans. I do agree with you though it was woeful. Hopefully better tomorrow. -

Indeed. Also mixed in with a FVCK OFF BRIGHTON version which was enjoyable. -

You genuinely believe the account of Hugo Sanchez? OK pal. Last year he had a pop for UFS singing 'Leicester till I die' when 4 or 5 down to Spurs because he felt victimised for walking out early. Don't Sell Knockaert was sang by a lot of people in and around UFS (including me) but as with every other fvcking song in the stadium it takes a while to get from block to block. As for the Riyad song starting next, I'm not sure why that started but you'd have to be pretty paranoid to think it was some sort of dig at Knocky. Thinking about it, it's laughable that some people want everyone to sing the same song at the same time but yet single out the (not-self-proclaimed) 'Ultras' who are trying to achieve just that, with the use of the drum or whatever. The same lads slated for 'acting Ultra/not traditional supporters' now being dug out in this thread for singing Bertie Mee. Fair play if anyone dislikes UFS for whatever reason but make your mind up on why ffs -
Safe Standing - Support the Early Day motion

Install more because it's clearly popular. -
Criticising the veracity of a the data set is fair enough but I would agree probably not necessary - I'm sure no one in UFS is daft or deluded enough to think a survey of around 1,250 is going to influence government or club policy on the matter. What it may do is help persuade the relevant decision makers within the Club to re-consider their largely neutral (or passively negative) stance on the matter and consult with fans on a wider scale. And that's the point. Let's see where they get with it.
