  1. All on the ownership, it's been a disaster for many years, unhappy fans is but one consequence of the incompetance.

They need to address the problems, don't blame the average fan expressing their dissatisfaction as they continue to double down.

To be honest RM is their Hail Mary and he needs to succeed, the club is teetering on the edge, you will need to worry less about a toxic atmosphere if this season isn't a success.

I think RM is a buffoon, I will give him a small chance to prove me wrong but I hold no faith that him and the powers that be will assemble a talented driven side capable of getting out of this league. So it will become very toxic if they fail again and they'll have no one but themselves to blame.

Tielemans, we definitely scouted before Puel.

Puel also wanted to bomb Vardy out.

Lot of revisionism going on here.

He wasn’t the worst we’ve ever had and he impeccably managed the situation when Vichai passed. But we underperformed while being very boring, he setup Rodger’s very nicely.

Has it even been officially announced yet that Rowett is leaving? Concious I may have missed it as been enjoying not monitoring the goings on a the club.

    Nothing announced.

It’s still all very amateurish. I’d go back to the ignorance of not knowing

Load of younger players not signed their contracts now.

Man City etc mopping up as usual but at least one rumoured to be going abroad

If accurate (it is Rama after all) yet another ominous sign, consequences starting to catch up due the ineptitude of the long term strategy employed by our board.

  5. I remember Gary Megson getting booed relentlessly at one match and we were more than happy once he left after only six weeks. He should have never been appointed. RM is similar to Megson, unlikeable and completely wrong for what we need as a club. This will be a huge mistake.

I would of course love to be proven wrong but this regime don’t have the structural recruitment capability and more importantly money to do what’s needed to win promotion next season under RM.

Its their sheer arrogance and incompetence that will sadly cost people their jobs and not fans booing.

Always thought this lad chats waffle ever since his BSLB appearance where he got a load of factual stuff wrong

He’s the new Mercury correspondent. He’s definitely treading carefully in what he says. He will get full access as a club yes man.

The official MSM output will be carefully managed by the club, to talk positively about the club only.

The club don’t listen or care about anything outside the positive feedback loop inside that boardroom.

I get that a club can’t base their strategy around the whims of what we moan about on here. But I don’t get the logic of getting RM with the insistence of the style of play, we know won’t work and will be so boring. Fine don’t listen to your fans, we will talk with our feet and boo and make it toxic if this doesn’t get off to a great start. Then the tools are back to square one, again.

He was excellent in Sweden, dramatically improving 2 unfancied clubs with no budget.

His stint at Aberdeen is a bit hit and miss, he was incredible at the start and they won a trophy and then it went a bit wrong.

I think the main thing for me is he is considered a "builder" really gets involved with recruitment and what he needs and he doesnt play possession based football, its much more direct and fast transitions.

He wouldn't come without some warnings (2nd half of his stint at aberdeen) but theres alot to like about him and how he could fit in here. Im applying the lets not forget we are in League One tax to being positive about it rather than thinking its a huge coup

First bit sounds a lot like Marti.

But if he is a builder and his style sounds like he doesn’t insist on the possession for the sake of it shite then he sounds more tempting than RM.

Is he a ‘nice’ guy? We need a little discipline to lift standards.

He’s currently earning £37,500 a week, which won’t drop in league 1, he didn’t know anything about other players, but he did say Rudkin was an unreasonable person to deal with, lots of players are extremely unhappy at being kept at the club against their wishes, and the said one of 2 things will happen in the coming seasons, either Rudkin goes or we enter administration- he said Top will be ultimately left with no choice.

This is why KP need to go, it should be obvious to anyone what the issues are, but Top is a dimwit and the best outcome now is we are sold as the alternative is administration.

More than Staff but less than Dans

As stated elsewhere it was agreed that the actual amount would not be made public as per FA tribunial rules

Regarding Motsi it might help if we actually had a robust Policy & Procedure regarding Agents like everyone else has to stop some of them waltzing round Seagrave like they own the place

This is a huge problem by the sounds of it. Rudkin is in bed with the agents. The effect is to an extent, we’re relying on them for recruitment and deciding the future of our talented youngsters, away from our club.

The powers that be clearly won’t join the dots up. Farce.

Martins style of play will be an absolute disaster in league one. We won’t be able to afford defenders technical enough to play out as well as strong enough to defend properly, or have good enough pivots in midfield, so all teams will need to do is press high up and then bombard us with long throws and other set pieces. They’ll fold like a deck of cards.

Same with any league we’re in. Many clubs are moving away from it. But like you’ve said, it will be even harder in a more much physical league.

Don’t expect our strategy to change unless Rudkin or Top are gone.

How on earth have any of our fans got the mental fortitude to stick up for those in charge of our football club. I can accept you disregard the past when there's evidence of change or a new era under a new operation but this is the same mob, in our worst position in our entire history of existence and history is repeating itself from recent years of no manager and seemingly no plan.

Exactly I’ve no idea why people seem to even think for one second they’re carefully considering their options. Considering where we were once that points deduction hit you’d have been planning at the bare minimum at that point for life in league one. You would fully expect we’d have been pushing for our manager at this point if not already appointed. But there is nothing and not any noise whatsoever, we know what’s happening, like it does every year.

    A. They have to go on holiday

    B. Russell Martin is hesitant to sign on and they’re having to wait. No other options being considered.
    C. Rudkin is stumped by the lack of technical ball playing options presented by his agents that are willing to manage in league one.

Whatever scenario it is, I’ve gone past given them the benefit of doubt.

If they get lucky on appointing a manager like Pearson that manages to organise this mess for them, they need to do it quicker, at least. Giving the manager more time is as important as appointment of the candidate themselves.

Dumb ****s still think it’s better than the Saudis like we aren’t used for some sort of sport washing. The only difference is they’re ****ing you and giving you nothing back.

This tinpot fanbase will end up with chesterfield and county and genuinely deserve it.

We deserve everything that’s coming to us.

Rather that the Saudis - would stop supporting the club if we got taken over for sports washing.

Either way we stuck with them, which looking at where we are, is much worse.

Unless the nepo dwarf actually puts money in the finances don’t add up let alone promote next year. Forget sportswashing, we’re staring down the barrel of administration.

We really have to get out of this shit hole at the first time of asking again, oh god.

Manderic’s parting gift was to appoint Pearson and his team. A capable team and the rest is history. King Power nearly messed up by letting him go that first time.

I honestly fear for the future.

It is so important for getting the manager right and this will only get there by also structural reform of the internals at the club and get this in place very quickly.

Pearson went in with Walsh and clearly was able to target players who’ll they’ll have been aware of probably before they joined the club. He then changed the culture and set high standards. My worry is we’ll keep with the disjointed organisational structure headed by Rudkin with recruitment still relying on agents.

Any manager expected to hit the ground running should by rights be in there now and fighting tooth and nail to ensure we get the right profile of player and not the dross presented by an agency.

It wouldn’t be a bad idea to even call on the likes of Pearson to provide a consultancy on a transition period to work with everyone. But that’s pie in the sky.

I honestly believe they’re still on holiday and while  maybe McCarron may be doing something (we as usual can only guess what) decisions will be made once off their jollies.

And if we aren’t going to get our arse in order and pragmatically make sound decisions like Pearson did on a limited budget. KP will have to spend millions, with the new parameters set I can’t see we will do either. Charlie Methven I fear is right.

Is there any evidence over the past 2 years they have any idea what they’re doing? Do they ever learn from mistakes?

We’re going into League because they’re clueless, the inaction is because they’re clueless, there is no Machiavellian plan as to why nothing is happening. Nothing is happening because they’re sclerotic and useless.

It’s rinse and repeat each year.

I thought they were riding out the PSR issues a few years back, just out of hope that it would be better but it’s infuriating to watch them continually balls everything up.

I imagine like always, a decision will be made once one returns from his holiday. It beggars belief this is likely true.
