Text Ellis Anniversary Ride to Burnley

Recommended Posts

Well it's been 1 year since I finished the text"ellis" campaign at Huddersfield and to mark the occasion, myself and 15 other LCFC supporters will be leaving the King Power tomorrow morning to cycle the 130 miles to Turf Moor for Saturdays game.

A lot has happened over the past year and Ellis is doing great...the amount of money the campaign raised last year was unbelievable, but because of those funds, the project we desperately wanted to see happen is underway and things are looking promising!

I am still working hard, along with other families who have children with Ellis' condition, to raise money to fund other projects that will be beneficial to Ellis' development, so if anyone would like to make a small donation to our 'Anniversary Ride' to Burnley, then you can do so by visiting www.justgiving.com/textellis or text MECP77 followed by £1, £2, £3, £5 or £10 to 70070. You can also keep up to date with the campaign at www.textellis.com

Hopefully you'll all keep an eye out for us crossing the finish line on Saturday and give us all a cheer...especialluy the 15 fans who have worked really hard over the past few months to train for the event and raise funds for Ellis :-)

Then hopefully we can keep this awesome run going and stay in the Premiership!

Thank you!

You'll be pleased to know we all made it safe and sound…hopefully some of you saw us at Turf Moor? Once I have some pictures sorted of the ride, I'll post them up on here.

It was great to get back on the bike after all this time and I'm really grateful to the 15 other supporters who gave up their time to join me and put themselves through a tough two days!

Was great to see the LCFC fans giving the text"ellis" team a clap at half time…amazing how much support you've all given the campaign over the past couple of years, so a massive thank you to you all!

I'm planning to make the 'Anniversary Ride' an annual event, so anyone who fancies joining us next year, keep an eye out for updates later in the year :-)
