Spot on. It's a myth. The club serves a big area with precious little competition and just like fans everywhere, there's drift away when there's nothing much to watch. The beer's the same. Newcastle Brown - big reputation but pretty ordinary in reality. Mind you Michael Owen should add a few to the crowd and unlike many I believe Souness will end up a decent manager there given a proper chance.
Ultra Posted 4 September 2005 Posted 4 September 2005 Souness has spent big, but achieved little. There are still too many weaknesses in the Newcastle team. I predict another season in the bottom half of the Premiership.

I predict another season in the bottom half of the Premiership. If that happens he will be gone for sure. You can't spend something like 30mill over the summer and finish in the bottom half!
