Libertine Posted 7 September 2005 Author Posted 7 September 2005 I have a squire strat and am shit hot. I have a Squier Strat, but I'm rubbish.
TornadoShaunUK Posted 8 September 2005 Posted 8 September 2005 Coolio, what guitar(s) have people got? Ibanez S540FM Custom Ibanez RG270DX - upgraded with lotsa new bits though.. Jackson DK2 EDS Fender DG 12 String Acoustic until recently I also had a Kramer Vanguard flying V - never used it though.. so sold it... at the moment I really want to get myself a Takamine Electro-Acoustic.
CasinoGee Posted 9 September 2005 Posted 9 September 2005 Alright, no need to show off. I've never got the appeal of Ibanez's, although their sound could make up for their looks, I dunno
TornadoShaunUK Posted 9 September 2005 Posted 9 September 2005 Ibanez's lower ranges are a bit crap.. quite tinny... but get some of the high end stuff and your in... the JEM (steve vai) models are really good and worth looking into but my favourite are the S series sabres.. light, thin necks, comfortable to play and just generally top notch if you set them up right.. plus you can get em with some great tigerstripe quilted tops so they look nifty too
TornadoShaunUK Posted 9 September 2005 Posted 9 September 2005 Gimme a Les Paul anyday. too heavy - overpriced - and look like crap =/
CasinoGee Posted 9 September 2005 Posted 9 September 2005 The heaviness makes me feel more in control, when buying a guitar you can't really go moaning about price and they look great.
TornadoShaunUK Posted 10 September 2005 Posted 10 September 2005 sorry man I have no idea what you are on about with that post. surely you can moan about anything if it costs to much and isn't worth the asking price?
leicesterChick Posted 10 September 2005 Posted 10 September 2005 I have played the clarinet for 7 year now. I can't say that I am brilliant with it, but I can play. I like to teach myself songs, rather than play all that classical stuff. I played the flute for about a year when I was 11. It was my best mates, and she hated to practice, so I would played for her. We would go into her room, close the door, and then I would practice playing the flute. Her parents thought it was her practicing. She quit playing the next school year, so I stopped playing it. My mate has a guitar, and I can play a few things on that. It sounds like a bunch of nothing, but I try. I like to pretend I can play the drums....
