Raw Dykes Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 Us doing so well will hopefully teach all the glory hunters who have connections to Leicestershire a valuable lesson. They've been thinking they found a shortcut to enjoying watching their club being successful, and suddenly their hometown club are the best in the country. They might realise that Man Utd/Liverpool/Arsenal never really was 'their' club in the first place, and that following their local team is a completely different experience. A glory grabber will never know what it feels like to watch their team sink to their lowest ebb and struggle for years, before reaching the top of the top division in an age when only the few giant clubs have occupied the top few places for decades, and the best we thought we could hope for was avoiding relegation. How can you feel anything but mild upset when you follow a giant club who you have no real connection to, who you expect to bring home silverware every single season? Surely, a trophy means nothing, because it was expected, and anything else is just disappointment? I don't think they've thought it through.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 December 2015 Posted 25 December 2015 Seeing as it's Leicester, we should be calling them "plaggeh". On a semi serious note, as long as people have a genuine love and affinity to Leicester then the more the merrier for me Up the Foxes
