ThaiFox Posted 31 January 2016 Posted 31 January 2016 If we did win the PL and given around £100m (including TV deals, etc) to spend, would you spend it on a few players or only spend on one or two. For example, If we won it under Huth and Morgan (who're getting on), would you spend some money to replace them with younger equally-talented players or trust them to carry on? I'd be very cautious about spending it, but I'd trust Walsh to find us the right players who fit in, which I think is more important than buying big named (big ego?) players who upset the dressing room. Spend in haste, repent in leisure! And yes, I would keep Morgan, Huth and Wasyl if they wanted to stay. All three have proved their worth and have been very loyal and professional. But obviously we have to look to replace them as they get older, and we must have quality back up's, because if we did win the league we could (hopefully!) be playing a lot more matches next season.
Blanchflower78 Posted 1 February 2016 Author Posted 1 February 2016 davieG According to the BBC and other sites they're not looking any further forward than us Everton have made an approach for Lokomotiv Moscow forward Oumar Niasse and hope to tie up a £13.5m deal before Monday's transfer deadline. Deal done.
