Does anyone have any recollection of this?
Guest Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 I read somewhere that it he visited leicester but found it too cold for his liking. Whether there's any truth in the rumour, who knows.

Does anyone have any recollection of this? Yes remember it well. There was a lot of excitement in the press at the time and a deal really looked close. Local TV news channels carried the story that he had pretty much signed but they were obviously proved wrong. I seem to remember that the climate played a part! Probably would have been one of the most amazing signings ever in the history of the club though he was past his best by then. Hard to comprehend how different things are now.
Foxfromburbage Posted 26 March 2016 Posted 26 March 2016 I was so excited as a teenager, this was the best news Leicester had had in years after the Bloomfield days. Unfortunately it was not to be :-( I remember the back page of the mercury like it was yesterday.
