lush Posted 29 September 2005 Posted 29 September 2005 Some great stuff written here. Somebody made a great point on tv today about our civil liberties (im not going off on a political thing, dont panic) eroding over the past 8 years of NL, that 8 years later, a NL member is thrown out of conference, no free speech, you get the gist. Since a lad of 4 or so, ive always been a huge lover of football, being born in Leicester and proud of such and naturally if i cant play for city, i become a fan. I remember paying a £ to watch city and thinking WOW, F-ING WOW when i entered the stadium, WOW UNREAL. Now i pay £300 odd for a whole season and i rarely say wow, let alone WOW. The point im trying to make is, in the last 20 years, football fans have been taken for granted, because they know we`ll turn up, because we love football and city, but the product (daveig mentioned lack of entertainment) has eroded enourmousely for financial "we must win regardless" attitude. I know full well what i could get at city, im addicted, and if theres anyone out there that could control my addiction of spending £300 a year plus away games, then please come forward? Im passionette.

I'll give you a few examples, the first time you step foot in a night club with the music blaring and birds all around you that could suck a golf ball through a hosepipe. A few years down the line of doing it a couple of times every week and it certainly rarely gets the WOW factor. Things just aren't what they used to be, fact of life.

Your just not meeting the right girls Ask chelsea or man utd fans if it cant get better, or the acid house ravers when exstacy replaced hooliganism and/or alcohol, and you`ll find a certain group of people delighted with "a few years down the line". How about when we beat Tranmere at Wembley, did it not get MUCH better than the previous 20 years? We can do it again, but the organisers (people who work for lcfc) need to be at their best.
