America would more likely be close allies with Russia if Trump got elected, he wants to turn his back on the World and has spoken of fondly of Putin, he would let him do whatever he wanted, there is far more chance of a clash with the US and Russia if Hillary gets in, although the Syrian situation could be even be over by that time anyway at the rate it's going.

 

The reason Russia are behaving like they are now is because they know Obama's American won't do anything, they are partly responsible for what we are now seeing.

It's a startling indication on how things have almost gone 180 degrees on the hard right of the republican party, that actually Putin is looked on as a pin up for the right in some quarters - an interventionist who puts his own country first and to hell with the consequences... which to some extent explains Trumps popularity with them.
