Guest Posted 4 October 2005 Posted 4 October 2005 this might be a stupid question but i thought football grounds were now seating only? It's sounds a bit complicated, but all new stands/stadia have to be be seated, regardless of division, I think (I thought this was the rule, but Walsall had a new stand which had a section of terracing for a while, which explains my uncertainty). Any ground with standing terraces already in place is ok, unless promoted to the PL, when they have dispensation to keep the terracing for so long but have to have seats after X number of years (we stood at Craven Cottage the last time we played there, for example). Most clubs took the decision to go all-seater, but some haven't.
