broughtonblue Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 So this is the worst time of my life in 40 years of supporting LCFC. Oh, no it's not, my mistake as I've seen the threat of relegation a few times. what I've never witnessed before is, LCFC are premier league champions (champions of England ffs) LCFC are in the last 16 of the champions league, with a good chance of reaching the quarter finals. We had two players voted in the top 10 players in the world our manager was voted FIFA coach of the year, amongst other accolades one of our players won Pfa player of the year one of our players won football writers player of the year one of our players set a premier league record of scoring in consecutive matches we played in the charity shield at wembley we can field a whole team of internationals we have amazing owners for a season we ripped the best teams in the land apart oh and I had a bet on us to win the league last season! yes things have turned but I believe we will stay up, but if you had asked me after the great escape whether I would accept all the above then face a relegation battle I would have snapped your hand off, like 100% of all fans would I think. As I'm sure every supporter of all the smaller clubs would have done if given the choice. yes some people may say their glass is half empty, but I'd rather of had it full to the brim and drunk half, it might even finish empty, but it can always be filled up again in the future.
dynamark Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 aaah the past cant take it away we are third from bottom at this point my glass looks pretty empty and the bar is closed until Monday evening
