Gené and Tonic Posted 15 October 2005 Posted 15 October 2005 What's his natural position? Levein seems intent on playing him on the wings, yet we all know he is far better in the centre. Surely Levein can see this too? It's silly wasting him on the wing, as he is probably our most influencial player. What is his actually prefered position?
Sir JJ Wilcox Posted 15 October 2005 Posted 15 October 2005 he is far better in the centre. Think you answered your own question there mate
Gené and Tonic Posted 15 October 2005 Author Posted 15 October 2005 yes, but does he prefer to play on the wing? Does Levein see that as his proper position?
Gené and Tonic Posted 15 October 2005 Author Posted 15 October 2005 I just thought someone may have read anything that suggested it.
Cobbo Posted 15 October 2005 Posted 15 October 2005 yes, but does he prefer to play on the wing? Does Levein see that as his proper position? I'm afraid I do not have enithers phone number. We can but assume. I think he is played on the wing to accomodate Williams in the centre and Hughes himself and CL prefer him in the middle.
davieG Posted 15 October 2005 Posted 15 October 2005 yes, but does he prefer to play on the wing? Does Levein see that as his proper position? I would suspect that he's been played on the wing because he's not 100% match fit yet let alone fit enough to operate in the centre. If you read CLs latest comments there maybe a clue or two in there And Levein believes that the improved fitness of Stephen Hughes, who missed the early part of the season with an ankle injury, could prove to be a major catalyst for the Foxes. He said: "I have an identikit in my mind of what we are looking for in midfield. What has happened on a number of occasions this season is players have either been injured or suspended, or have been coming back from injury and playing but not quite performing to the best of their ability. "Now, the likes of Stephen Hughes, who has been out for a while but has played a few games, is just about there. I expect him to be ready to pick up from where he left off last season. That would certainly help. "I have a midfield in mind for Saturday. The balance should be right so now we need people to perform to the best of their ability." He certainly played a more central role last season!
Gené and Tonic Posted 15 October 2005 Author Posted 15 October 2005 thanks for the good reply! I hope he does play him in the centre, it does pain me to see him being wasted. He could be the man to provide for the strikers.
Hitesh Posted 15 October 2005 Posted 15 October 2005 from what i have seen, his best position seems to be in the centre and thats his strength. he is creative and knows how to build attacks, something which other mf have failed to do!
frenchy_lcfc Posted 15 October 2005 Posted 15 October 2005 Definately His Best postion!! He played Outstandingly Well today in the Centre!!
cisono Posted 15 October 2005 Posted 15 October 2005 Best in the centre I'd definitely play in the centre as well and see that as his "natural" position. OOPS... what I meant to say was: I'd definitely play HIM in the centre as well and see that as his "natural" position. PS: Darn I just gave away last night's dream
