LAN_MONKEY Posted 1 November 2005 Posted 1 November 2005 I think there will soon be a small LAN party happening in the Leicester area.... Anyone up for it? A LAN party is where you take your computer along, link it up and play with/against a room full of other players until you cant play no more… stuff like counter strike, unreal tournament, war craft, quake, doom, ect.. I dont know anything else about it yet.

It would be just a little bit nerdier if a virtual team was built across the internet (fast broadband only, of course, ideally optic cable or satellite connection) and everyone interacted with their partners in crime through webcams and mobile phones. Has anyone heard of this mixed-reality chase game where the people being chased were actually running around a city (such as Tokyo) units but the chasers were people playing a game online?
