Though quite clever, his inability to mobilise properly to a deformed body made him an attraction in the late 1800's (quote me if im wrong) I believe the Elephant Man was used in circuses and was used for beatings He died after 8 people broke into his room in London, sprayed him with alcohol and abused him. Whats all your thoughts of Joseph Merrick?
Knightonian Posted 1 November 2005 Posted 1 November 2005 I think he actually just died because of his deformaty. He was born somewhere near the Mercury building as far as I remember.
