Craig Levein and his coaching staff will continue to work with their current crop of strikers in a bid to improve City's performances in front of goal.

The Leicester boss had hinted following the 0-0 stalemate with Southampton last Saturday that he may be tempted to bring in another forward on loan if his side's goalscoring fortunes did not improve.

But speaking on Thursday morning, Levein revealed that although the option was still there he had yet to make a move on the transfer front.

He said: "After the Southampton game I stated that we were going to do a bit of work on the training ground on the attacking side of things, and if we didn't improve in the short term then bringing in another player would be something that I might do.

"I want to spend a bit of time working on it first to see if we can get the guys who we have already got putting the ball in the back of the net because obviously that would be my preferred option. But if we need more competition to really gee people up then that is something that I will definitely look at."

I didn't think of that but yes, whether that's a plan of his or not, it should help if they think they would be pushed down the order if they don't improve.
