Matt Posted 11 November 2005 Posted 11 November 2005 My car is in for a Service and MoT today, My car's a 1 litre Corsa (W Reg - Year 2000 - 4 years old), 2 previous Women drivers, and 23,000 Miles, and today my car also failed it's MoT Both of my Springs on the rear suspension have snapped Which is gonna cost me £215 but luckly I have warrenty on my car, although the warrenty cover people are saying they don't pay for MoT Failure's but thankfully someone at the garage had an arguement with them and I now have to pay only £74. I did say (jokingly) my car would Fail its MoT because I don't drive it carefully i'm very harsh on it and I thought my car would fail on its clutch if anything because 1) It sound like a diesel when its in neutral because it ticks and vibrates, e.t.c and 2) I'm am very harsh on it wheelspining of roundabouts/junctions, e.t.c. Can't believe it has failed ...Was only joking when I said it would fail

Having said that, once I had to replace half the engine, which usually costs 600 pounds just for the parts!!!! PS: Try to drive less recklessly, if at all possible. It will cost you less in the long run.
Wilson Posted 12 November 2005 Posted 12 November 2005 Ragging your car wastes too much money, i only do it on special occasions now
Matt Posted 13 November 2005 Author Posted 13 November 2005 Total bill - £255.85 And at the end of this month I have my insurance coming up (Which will be between £800 - £1000) then I have christmas presents to be buying and christmas do's e.t.c Looks like I need to be thinking about doing some overtime
Guest Posted 13 November 2005 Posted 13 November 2005 Mr car had it's service and MOT yesterday, thankfully passing!
Alexikokopops Posted 13 November 2005 Posted 13 November 2005 Sometimes I'm glad I can't afford the petrol to run a car. £205 on a bus pass does me fine, especially since the busses come every 12 minutes. Although that's only when I'm at Uni, when I'm at home I can steal the 'rents car. Good because public transport in Lincolnshire is far from the bee's pyjamas.
