davieG Posted 15 September 2004 Posted 15 September 2004 Is threatening legal action to overturn his red card! Apparently his lawyer 'is prepared to argue that the ban contravenes the player's human rights'. BBC article 19242[/snapback] he should just accept it, how many times has the boot been on the other foot so to speak where he has been the agressor and somebody retaliated like he did and got sent off. I've not noticed him declaring any support for those people. He knows the rules, ok it was a tad harsh but shit happens in football all the time, if he is successful these potential bannings could drag on for months if not years.
Ash Posted 15 September 2004 Posted 15 September 2004 To be honest he didnt deserve the red card , but mayb he should just let it go ! In football you get decisions for & against you
Guest Daniel Posted 15 September 2004 Posted 15 September 2004 Yeah, he didnt deserve it but shit happens. Let it drop Robbie and start whinging. Get on with it!
Alexikokopops Posted 16 September 2004 Posted 16 September 2004 Man, he really wants to play against England, doesn't he?
Hullfox Posted 16 September 2004 Posted 16 September 2004 I agree with you all on this. DavieG is right, how many times has Robbie actually got away with stuff that people could find video footage of and sue him? For the good of football he should let it drop. He will be eligible to play in the return fixture against England. I hope somebody with half a brain sorts him out (Stand forward Steve Bruce) as he is too easily led. Thing is, if it goes to the European Court of Human Rights, he's likely to win and that will throw the game into all sorts of short term turmoil a la Bosman. If he carries on, the general public's grudging respect for him will just turn into a grudge.
Anish Posted 17 September 2004 Posted 17 September 2004 Savage is just making himself look like a desparate fool. Football has its ups and downs and he should put things into perspective - he will get to play England in Cardiff anyway.
