The Big Nige fire (hot vs cold) still burns on FT … no doubt the White Trainer Cult will ensure it outlasts his mortal days.  But I find it hard to get fired up about discussing his Bristol City tenure.

 

He went into a club with great physical infrastructure, but a poor squad and no money left to improve it.  Then COVID beat him up to the point where you’re not sure how much of this season reflects his work, and how much the work of the staff at large.  They've impressed no one, but kept their heads comfortably above water.

 

As of his first anniversary there, there’s not much that adds significant weight to the arguments pro or con.

 

But the Big Nige fire still burns …
