kerryh Posted 20 September 2004 Posted 20 September 2004 I've had enough of so called 'Leicester fans' who slag off or boo players during a match, it's hardly inspires a team to pull their finger out and please the fans. Can we please get behind the lads on a Saturday, encourage and inspire them to win, look how the Sheff Utd fans reacted last week, the team re-paid them with two goals! Yes you can all whinge and whine on here about who you hate or dislike but during a game - let's unite and create some passion that the team can be proud of. On Saturday for example, Blake came on (I didn't agree!) but couldn't boo a player in a Leicester shirt, like almost every other person did in the ground. How the hell is that ever going to inject some Leicester passion into Nathan Blake? If we cheer him then maybe he'll want to show us what he's made of. Get behind the lads and make us proud again! PLEASE.
andy_croydz Posted 20 September 2004 Posted 20 September 2004 damn right kerry, how people want to boo there own player whos only been here a few months is beyond me plus hes actually a proven goalscorer so obviuosly he has still got something to give, just because he was unfit when he played in the first few games people think it was ok to start saying hes sh*t and now hes more a less fit again we boo him, i mean if i got bood coming on id feel well unwanted
Guest Daniel Posted 20 September 2004 Posted 20 September 2004 He needs to pull his finger out his arse then if hes a proven goal scorer. What ive seen so far is that he's a proven lazy money grabbing selfish twat. Im sorry but thats all that comes to mind when i think of him, he's got no commitment, no passion, no fight, nothing, hes rubbish and quite rightly booed by myself and many others. Pay your money and have your say.
kerryh Posted 20 September 2004 Author Posted 20 September 2004 yes pay your money and have your say - but when your negativity rubs off on the players don't come moaning on here - it's going to happen! The fans make such a huge difference, make it the right difference is all I'm saying.
Guest Daniel Posted 20 September 2004 Posted 20 September 2004 So your boyfriend/fiancee/husband/mother/father/whoever takes you out to a decent well known restraunt and pays good money for the food that turns out to be absaloutly disgusting and you struggle eat it, you wouldnt moan? Its like going to watch Leicester you pay very good money and i struggle to watch the shis football at times. Its only human to moan at things when your paying good money and not getting what you expect.
kerryh Posted 20 September 2004 Author Posted 20 September 2004 Yes I would complain after the event!!!!! If I complained during the ordering of my meal I'd expect a mouth full of phlegm on my salad!
Guest Daniel Posted 20 September 2004 Posted 20 September 2004 So you'd wait till your home and not tell the restruant what you thought of the food?

PLEASE. 20222[/snapback] You are so right Kerry but you won't change any viewpoints on here. I hate it when we play crap but I would never boo a city player, I think (and it's only my opinion) it's disloyal. Yes some of the decisions are strange but the whole subject of football is so subjective. Plus, to refer to an earlier analogy, if I went for a meal that I did not enjoy that much, sure i'd complain about it and make my feelings known. But I'd make sure that I never went back again. And, If I hated the head chef as much as some people seemed to have done for some time, I wouldn't have even gone to the bloody restaurant in the first place! People can vote with their feet if it upsets them that much - Don't Go!!!!!!!! If you've bought a season ticket then bite the bullet and stay at home, take the loss, sell it, send it back, do anything if you hate it that much. Life's too short to be unhappy. Watch the reserves and the academy if they are that good. Predict the stars of tomorrow but don't let games of football make you all this upset. Maybe my passion for the club is blind to the extreme but I have watched them for over 20 years and they have always been frustrating. It's not in my blood to be able to boo a Leicester player. We almost lost the club two years ago and therefore I for one am glad that I've still got some shit to watch.
foxesfan69 Posted 20 September 2004 Posted 20 September 2004 sorry guys but you have got to agree with BlueMistress on this one. A lot of the so called "honest pros" in the Leicester side just haven't been doing the buisness. The only 2 i am happy with are Nalis and what little bits we have seen of Tiatto. Oh and "Pieman" isn't doing that bad either
King Kyle lcfc Posted 20 September 2004 Posted 20 September 2004 I think wot kerrys trying to say is that you booed blake before he came on just cuz u wanted the precious tommy wright on. Whick is like moaning about a meal before you've had it. I think booing and complaining become far to easy to most city fans at times on sat we played some decent stuff just no end product certainly not as poor as at watford or Brighton and to boo a mediocre first half is daft cuz the players will feel even more dejected in the second subsequently making it worse. They probably dont play football because they dont actually realise a crowds there until they hear the boos at the final whistle.please get behind the lads when you feel like booing scream a leicester chant to rid yourself of frustration
Hullfox Posted 20 September 2004 Posted 20 September 2004 In another post, many of the Mickey out brigade are rightly lamenting the death of Cloughie. One of his quotes - "Players lose you games, not tactics. There's so much crap talked about tactics by people who barely know how to win at dominoes." I reckon he copped a look at this forum.
Ash Posted 20 September 2004 Posted 20 September 2004 I never agree with booing your own player , thats why i never do it ! It doesnt help them one bit .....Nathan Blake maybe not be the best player in the world but weve got to encourage and help him !
Scow Posted 20 September 2004 Posted 20 September 2004 I honestly feel the booing was more to do with the decision to bring Blake on, not the player himself. I certainly didn't boo, but I was majorly pissed off with the decision. We didn't boo Blake when he had the ball, did we? Well, I didn't hear any from where I was sitting.....
Buzzell Posted 20 September 2004 Posted 20 September 2004 Great piont made here by Kerry!! We all hate Blake but booing him is out of order. The lad wont have any confidence in front of his new fans if there booing him once he steps foot on the pitch. I agree with most of you that the signing of Blake was ridiculous but the lad has come to this club to help us out!! Theres are worse players out there that we could have signed instead of Blake. Give him some gratitude, let him show what he's worth! Plus we bring him off the bench mostly near the end of every match, it would be hard to change a game when you only have abotu 10 minutes to prove ya self!
Micky Posted 20 September 2004 Posted 20 September 2004 So your boyfriend/fiancee/husband/mother/father/whoever takes you out to a decent well known restraunt and pays good money for the food that turns out to be absaloutly disgusting and you struggle eat it, you wouldnt moan? Its like going to watch Leicester you pay very good money and i struggle to watch the shis football at times. Blake stood on the touchline and got a load of abuse before he'd even stepped on the pitch. I bet that really motivated him to go out there and perform! You also direct your criticism towards blake which shows just how much you have thought about the issue. Adams bought the guy, adams put him on the pitch, so really its his fault. The point of the matter is, so called supporters who boo a player before he is on the pitch need to question their loyalty. and can can we get this into our heads - WE ARE NO LONGER A PREMIER LEAGUE SIDE. WE HAD A FANTASTIC MANAGER WHO TOOK US TO A LEVEL BEYOND OUR WILDEST DREAMS. WE WILL PROBABLY NOT REACH THAT LEVEL AGAIN. GET USED TO IT!

Get a reality check you loser! I don't hate any of our players. I don't think some of them are particularly good, but hate? This just shows the type of brainless crap spieled by some of the posters on here.

DesertFox Posted 20 September 2004 Posted 20 September 2004 Good call, Kerry. Booing your own players is ridiculous, disloyal and wouldn't have come from any real LCFC fans, especially those who have seen a few good and bad seasons, managers and players come and go. And, OK, it didn't happen, but humour me here for a minute... what if Blake had of come on and scored the winner? What would the boo-boys be doing then? Cheering, I suspect, and probably louder and longer than anyone else, because mainly they just like to be heard. Did you lot ever hear the one about the empty vessels...? And it's all very well people like Scowy coming on here and claiming it was 'the decision' that was booed, not the player, but I think other posters on here have proven that the majority were in fact just having a go at Nathan Blake because they don't like him, rather than putting across an astute tactical opinion (as feckin if!). So if you want to let the manager know he doesn't know what he's doing, next time how about instigating a chant - something like... erm... "you don't know what you're doing" ought to get the message across, I'd have thought. It's still a pretty negative attitude, but at least that could be construed as being constructive criticism and doesn't vilify a player before he's even touched the ball.

step Posted 20 September 2004 Posted 20 September 2004 People booed at MA for bringing on Blake, not at Blake himself. As for the suggestion that fans should sit back, accept the shite that MA is subjecting this club to, and NOT COMPLAIN. Who are you kidding. We are moaning, because we want city to do well and not risk relegation again, (and why should'nt we). We are moaning because we believe in our club and its future and do not like what MA is doing to it. We are moaning because we particularly dont like it when he insist on playing low quality players who are unfit, unmotivated and unable to kick a ball even they could be bothered to try. MA is'nt playing Blake because he can see some great hidden talent/ skill that the rest of us cant see, he is playing him because, He, MA, bought him, and he trying to prove to himself and the rest of us that it was a good idea and that is plain stubborness and very stupid. buying Blake was a mistake and MA should be man enough to realise it, get over it and move on. we dont want another PT and akinbadbuy situation. (If Pt had been as quick as the fans to realise how crap AA was, City could have done well under PT) It is our club, we support it, mentally and financially therefore we have a right to complain when we aint getting the service we deserve, we are its customers and if it is to succeed the club must put the demands of its customers above the ego of its inept manager and the pride of a lazy, pension seeking player who shows no loyalty or passion to the club. MA has lost the plot and should leave before he does any more damage Lost the faith
