Ric Flair Posted 21 September 2004 Posted 21 September 2004 Just been reading the official site and Elliott was talking about how good a prospect Stearman is! I can't copy and paste the paragraph but check it out. Looking forward to seeing Matty back, the man has been a legend for us and it sounds like he is eager to help Stearman develop.
Scow Posted 21 September 2004 Posted 21 September 2004 "Richard Stearman is some prospect. I played against Shepshed Dynamo alongside him during pre-season and you could see within five minutes that he is a quality player."He is certainly going to get his opportunities and for me it is just how far he develops. The manager put him in the squad for the game against Burnley on Saturday and if something had happened to Nikos or Martin at the back nobody would have had any fears about Richard coming in. That speaks for itself really." I think it's great for Stearman that he has the likes of Elliott and Keown to learn from. I just hope he doesn't learn the tricks of the trade from Nikos Dabizas.....
Ash Posted 21 September 2004 Posted 21 September 2004 Well i hope Keown can stay around as a coach with us for a few years , Keown can help us with alot of young players we have ....
Buzzell Posted 21 September 2004 Posted 21 September 2004 I can see him doing a Flowers on us, fcuking off to a bigger club as a coach.

Buzzell Posted 21 September 2004 Posted 21 September 2004 I wouldnt blame the guy either if he did. Arsenal are the best team in the Premier League and plus he's been a legendary player there for god knows how long!
Anish Posted 21 September 2004 Posted 21 September 2004 He ain't gonna stay here to coach. He'll have already had enough of our style of football and he ain't gonna stay to coach these bunch of muppets! Besides, Wenger has already said that's he's welcome at Arsenal in some coaching capacity, and I can see him doing what Bob Wilson did and staying at the Arsenal until he retires altogther.
Scow Posted 21 September 2004 Posted 21 September 2004 I'm sure Keown is regretting his decision to come here. He would have been better off at West Ham where they keep the ball on the ground.
