Knowing Rudkin as we do, there could well be a clause in Vardy's contract that states he has to start EVERY game when he's fit.

 

RVN will also be aware of the tantrum Vardy threw when being subbed against Chelsea, which set off the chain of events that brought him to our club.

 

The "captain" still has delusions that he can somehow spark the Great Escape Mark 2.

 

But every game that passes sees the chances of that happening becoming ever more remote.

 

Vardy has had his moments this season - most notably in both of the Spurs games and against West Ham and Brighton.

 

More often than not, though, he's looked like a weak tribute act - a pale shadow of the force that once wreaked havoc on opposing defences.

 

Hope he can make a dignified exit at the end of the season before his legacy is tarnished even further.

He’s under performing his xG again this season so far.

Whilst he has prolific in the past, he’s not the force he was.  Incidentally, he’s also played more minutes already, that the entirety of 21/22 or 22/23 seasons according to those stats! Crazy. 
 

Daka is out performing his, albeit on minimal game time.
