Worse still, the toxicity of the "world-leading training ground" has already afflicted those whom we've taken on loan from Premier clubs to, supposedly, raise the standard. There is zero chance whatsoever of improvement while Rudkin and his latest puppet are in charge at the club.

Rudkin actually joined the club in the 1980s as a youth coach. He therefore predates Mandaric by at least 20 years. Pre-King Power, his sphere of influence remained extremely limited, but his incessant toadying to Vichai and Aiyawatt enabled him to move swiftly onwards and upwards. He doesn't speak to the media (unless it's off the record) because he doesn't wish to draw wider public attention to his existence. And as City's slide towards the National League continues, he's not likely to change that habit any time soon..

For all the stitching-up that's gone on at Seagrave during the summer, Martin hasn't helped himself by starting Thomas and Reid. The academy products have been seen to be no more than average. Brace yourself, folks - this will be yet another long winter..

Apart from Joseph, none of the team have turned up so far today. Burns and BDCR are off the pace, but so are the so-called "wonder kids" Alves, Page and Braybrooke. This manager now has options on the bench. He really needs to use them to save this.

They turned it round in the end, though. Meanwhile, Divine Mukasa scored twice for West Ham against Wolves. Think he'll be pretty decent there..

The Plymouth guy decided he would put one on Stolarczyk to send a message. Every team in this league will try to bully us off the park. A referee of any quality would have issued a card for that challenge. And BDCR having a giggle with the perp afterwards, as caught on camera, was NOT a good look.. 😠

Doesn't quite make up for the previous four or five windows, but the powers-that-be (chiefly McCarron) deserve due credit.

If you REALLY think one of the class of 2021 was or is more toxic to City than Jon Rudkin, then (to paraphrase NP) you must be an ostrich! See the Restore Britain element of the Foxes fanbase have wasted no time toasting his departure. They may dream of the day when we again field an all-white starting 11 - with stands and a directors box to match. But that fantasy is as likely to happen as Rupert Lowe being given the keys to 10 Downing Street.

And what about the £50m+ we've made in sales this summer (with more likely to come in the next two days?) Clearly there are debts that need to be paid off. But the experience of the last two seasons should tell us the consequences of a self-imposed embargo on signings.

No. They actually won their first two games (including one against us!) in 16-17 and still went down. Always good to see the sky blues put firmly in their place, though..😄 Could be a long winter for Lampard and co..

Quite a few of his ex-strike partners/rivals now playing their trade in that league - Kane, Kramaric and now Daka. No surprise he's now taking an interest, and maybe seeing if he can make a few (more) quid along the way? 😄

This shows the extent of our decline - we now quake in fear of tinpot sides who (in the case of Oxford and Stockport) have spent lengthy recent spells outside the EFL. Aiyawatt and Rudkin should be hanging their heads in shame. But, sadly, as we know, neither of them has any.

A return of 2 points and 2 goals from the first three league fixtures is NOT acceptable. Anyone who thinks it is should ask themselves serious questions about why they're members of this forum. Yes, some of the younger players did provide moments of quality today. But ultimately not one of them was capable of providing an end product. No doubt the über-geeks will be excited that once again we outperformed the opposition in terms of "expected goals". But as we should know only too well after the last two seasons, it's real goals that matter. We continue to come up short in that area and look like continuing to do so for the foreseeable under this manager and this regime. Those that remember the standards previous City sides set at Premier level have EVERY right to call out the dross currently being produced.

He looks destined to be a one-goal wonder. And given that his direct opponent when he scored that goal was none other than Hamza Choudhury, even that is slightly tainted.

That's because the powers-that-be haven't signed a proper striker since Vardy left. And we weren't exactly ripping defences to shreds before then..

We are NOT "playing alright". Look at the league table for evidence. Relegation (again!!) is far more likely than promotion under this manager and this regime.

They'll buy their way out of trouble, same as they did under Guardiola. Remember how we hammered them 5-2 at the Emptihad during the pandemic? (less than SIX YEARS ago!). Next day, they went on to spend a shedload on Ruben Dias and ended up strolling the league that season. Maresca's start today was spookily similar to the one he had with us - stealing a win at the death after being outplayed for long spells. Is that an omen?

..but more than offset now by our status as a third-tier club, especially with Forest and now Cov in the Premier League. Forest are now doing what King Power could and should have done - expanding the stadium and thus their fanbase and revenue. Instead, King Power, not for the first or last time, capitulated to Jon Rudkin's view of the priorities for City. It's a grievous error which has set us back decades.
