NASCAR 2026 Daytona 500

Didn't see a thread on stock car American racing, but it's a great sport and one I follow closely... any others???

 

I'm a JGR owner fan, and started following NASCAR in 1986... was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan until his demise in '01... then followed Tony Stewart until he retired, followed by Martin Truex Jr and now am a fan of Ty Gibbs #54 ...

I was always big into racing games and in the 90's someone gave me Nascar Racing 2 for my PC. 

 

I liked it and eventually got myself a wheel and pedals. Found a group of guys online(mostly from the southern US of course) and we'd play all weekend.

 

That actually led to me watching the races on TV. 

 

I always rooted for Jeff Gordon, mostly because he was mostly hated by Nascar fans 

 

Don't follow it these days, or even know who's who.

Yeah, Jeff, was not my cup of tea... nor Jimmy Johnson... I love the racing, F1,INDY, NASCAR... I love going fast.. my personal highest speed 144mph... and yes, above 120 things really change

Great spectacle and I enjoy observing the whole good ole boy culture around it. Pretty brutal sport as well of course.

Surprised there wasn't a caution on last lap, but definitely made for better ending!!! Glad you got to see a good competitive race!!!

Was a great race car driver though... his name much better recognized than Fudkin... pushing my memory but died in 14??? Hall of Fame I do believe

NASCAR's longest race tonight... very sad day at Charlotte... wasn't a Kyle Busch fan, but he was a damned good driver... major loss
