hutch81 Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 they are better than the first team. just look at the tempo and commitment in runs in the game vs arsenal for those of you that have lcfc world check it out, some players are really impresive especially o'grady and morris!! Gotta say spot on, was there joy to watch but we were unluck not to win. "Same old, Same old" making chances pay and we didn't. But OGrady looked sharp and Morris (for 40 mins - still not fit yet). Thought the defence looked pretty solid til late on, Dublin playin for the Shirt for 90mins looked solid and dangerous when he got forward!! Get him in the defence at side of Mcarthey!! Dump Nissa Johansen (too fat and lazy!!) or shove him to leftback??
Matt Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 I've said it before...drop the underpreforming "First Team" players(Which lets be fair barr the odd one or two is the whole squad), and throw a few of the reserves in, what have we got to lose? -The players dropped will either be happy they have been dropped (They'll probably be happy to "have it easy" in the reserves and rake all the money in) or they will want to work back into the first team (Hopefully the will want to do the second option but some of the players attitude's and efforts make me wonder) -If we play the reserves in the first team and they lose, so what? The current "First Team" are losing anyway. -And if we throw some reserves in the squad they will have something to prove and want to hold there place in the first team. Put some (If not alot) of reserve players in the first team, What have we got to lose?!
Scow Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 O'Grady looked impressive from those highlights - missed a number of chances though. Apart from that, he showed plenty of movement and pace. Liked the bit where he ran across the byeline, beating two players in the process before trying to score from an impossible angle.
The Reverend Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 Lee Morris, Weso, O'Grady and the no. 10, who is it Levi Porter all looked impressive.
Thracian Posted 18 January 2006 Posted 18 January 2006 The first 65 minutes was probably the best football I've watched from a reserve team and, apart from Sheffield United at home and Spurs second half, was better than most first team stuff I can easily recall. Arsenal were taken apart for long periods. Four-one sounded ridiculous in the end.
