You and me obviously wnet to different matches then.

I thought Johansson had an okay game defensively. Also, there were plenty of times when they worked the ball down the right hand side.

We must have mate.

If kisnorbo played like he did today the 'kisnorbo out' thread would have been reignited.

Douglas - 7 - didn't need to do much, great header, it was meant!!

Stearman - 6 - Struggled with Miller first 15 minutes but got better, decent performance

McCarthy- 7 - Played with confidence, never looked troubled

Kisnorbo- 7 - Good solid display, paired well with McCarthy

Johansson- 6 - Gave the ball away a few too many times but all round was ok

Maybury- 6 - Not really comfortable, awful shot

Hughes - 7 - worked hard, looked dangerous at times

Gudjonsson - 6 - alright

Wesolowski - 8 - brilliant all over the pitch

Fryatt - 8 - where does he get his energy from?? Good goal

Hume - 6 - Lots of running, helped to create chances

O'Grady - 6 - wasn't on for long enough to make an impact

Douglas 7 The little that he had to do he did well.

Stearman 6 Miss kicked quite a few times in the first half but still a quality player.

Paddy K 9 Yet more evidence that he is a centre back and when given the chance to play there he can do a job for us.

Paddy Mac 9 He is really growing in to the role of captain and is helping get the fans and the players connected again.

Johanson 7 Probably the most steady choice in that position but still got skimmed a couple of times by Ricketts.

Maybury 6 Struggled a bit but i respect him for playing out of position especially when he is ill.

Gudjohson 6 Was showed up by his younger partner in crime.

Wesolowski 8 Considering he is 18 and he has just come back froma long lay off he is doing inredibly well. He is imposing himself and dominating games in the way that Williams and Joey have both failed to do. His enthusiasm and desire to do well is so evident to see that it is inspiring for all around him. What a prospect!

Hughes 7 Few nice touches and off the ball runs but tired quite a lot and didn't influence the match in the way he can.

Hume 7 Excellent linking up play marred by the fact he missed a sitter in the first half. I think we would miss his willingess to get on the ball if he were not playing.

Fryatt 8 Just a quality prospect. Touch, movement, finishing, intelligence. The Boy is a few inches taller, or half a yard of pace, away from being England standard. Great signing.

****Subs****

O'Grady 6 He looks like he has filled out a bit. I actually think Hammond should ahve come on to exploit the growing gaps in their defence with his pace.

Nils was pretty stubborn at the back to be honest, I don't know what you're basing your thoughts on.

Douglas - 7 - Solid as he needed to be.

Stearman - 7 - Thought he did well against Miller in the first half and always looking to get forward.

McCarthy - 8 - Won everything in the air and made some vital blocks.

Kisnorbo - 8 - Strong in the air, calm at the back and made some great tackles.

Jonansson - 7 - Best I've seen him play at LB, technically sound and was not exploited for pace at all. Keep it up Nils :)

Maybury - 6 - Allows Dicky to roam forward, but his individual game could improve. Hear that he played through illnes though so well done him :)

Gudjonsson - 7 - Not as influentual as he has been but kept things moving along, challenged well in the air throughout, despite being tiny.

Wesolowski - 8 - The lads class, good tackling, passing, energy, aggresion...etc etc etc....keep him as quiet as poss please City cos he will be snapped up.

Hughes - 8 - Looking more like his old self, good passing and good energy too. More at home on the left than right it would seem.

Hume - 7 - Energetic as ever, closing down was fabulous. Could improve his first touch and should have scored early on.

Fryatt - 9 - Energetic goalscorer. Love it. Never gave anyone a moments peace and nabbed us the vital goal :D

Sub:

O'Grady - 7 - Showed maturity beyond his age when he came on, drawing fouls and being strong. His go go gadget afro seemed to make on of his headers travel miles!

Please elaborate.

Did you not read my original message above? i thought that elaborated it plenty.

sits at left back for 90 minutes, id say 70% of the attacks they actually had was down his side.

Yeah thats alot of pressure on one player, but he invites it on himself.

I must of spotted about 4 times when ever a ball was lobbed that side johanson (HOOOOOOF) was like the invisible man, and then he trudges along to his man after being a mile out of position and gets skimmed.

Did i see him get forward once? no not one single time. Stearman, yeah made a few mistakes but he was always trying to get forward to create a chance and get back to his position after, least he trys and gives 100%.

Bring back Tiatto for gods sake.

Twatto! Hell no. I'd just started to forget about him and his style of play.Send him off to the colonies.

Christ, Nils is solid at left back and he's getting slated.

Does it cross your mind that it might be a tactical plan to allow both our right sided players to roam forward but this means our left back must stay back?

Nils was calm with the ball and when playing long balls was accurate in general.

Bring back Tiatto? Are you kidding? What the hell does Tiatto bring us?

Tiatto is not the greatest of players (agreed).

But he fights for the cause and runs and chases like a headless chicken.

Which in my eye is alot more then nilis (HOOOOF) does in 30 games.

Yep, having a headless chicken at left back is exactly what you want.

Keep that formation structured and all that.

Christ, you have the tactical nouse of David Pleat.

Passion, which is a hell of alot more then what he provides.

No it doesnt cross my mind that its a tactical plan, ive never known a team to attack from one side both defence wise and midfeild wise.

When sheehan played, when tiatto plays and even when Kisnorbo played left back they all went forward so i cant see why this should be any different.

Johanson's state of mind is ' i get the ball, i need to hit it as hard as i can so i cant make a twat of myself' which he does pretty easily anyway.

Ahh thanks, i had an idear you would result to a comment like that, which pretty somes up your match ratings of today.

Ok if you're so sure about this, do a poll about who people would prefer at left back, Johansson or Tiatto

I dont need to, i said bring back tiatto because anything is better then what i can only describe as a waste of space, and i dont rearly care if people prefer johanson there to tiatto because 1. it is my opinion and 2. how anyone can describe him as you have is beyond me and therefore i would not lose sleep over a 80% johanson in over tiatto poll.

What rearly amazed me is your signature states 'NO MORE HOOFING', which johanson seems to do pretty much every time he has the ball.

Posted

Yeah, do you?

Yes , I was just making sure beacause you are talking so much shit.

Nils hoofs the ball when nothing else is on , would you prefer him to keep the ball and play us deeper into trouble? He has done nothing wrong at LB.

And as for Tiatto , he can stay on the sidelines , he runs around like a twat and gives away numerous fouls in dangerous positions.

Non fact.

We just kept a clean sheet with a waste of space at left back, well don t'other 3 :D

Ahh thanks for your nice comments, amazing how people result to insulting when they dont rearly have much else to say.

Ok, hear goes, Johanson is awsome, he is the best player i have ever seen at the club, he has so much pride and passion for playing for leicester and distrubutes the ball so flowingly and accurate. Wow i think i saw him actually make a pass to a city player today.

Johanson, your man of the match for me, your a star

If you look back over the ratings Johansson has received in this thread you'll see that most people gave him a 6 or a 7, which means that you on your own in thinking he had a bad game.

Fair enough, he's not the most attack minded player and often takes the safe option of lifting the ball over the midfield to the forwards but, give the amount of goals we've conceeded due to weaknesses down the left and the amount of trouble the LB position has given us this year, I'd much rather see him take the safe option than get forward too much and leave us vulnerable down that side.

Overall, he didn't have a bad (or particularly good) performance today, well, nothing that stood out for me anyway.

Yes, it would be nice to see our only true LB (Sheehan) get into the first team more often but right now I think Rob Kelly is probably looking for consistency and experience above all else - he's probably of the opinion that we've had two wins with the current formation so why look to rock the boat?

Fair comment Chimp, at least its constructive.

All i was stating was i could not understand how cobo rated him a 9 and got man of the match which is how its resulted to this.

I agree with most of what you say, but johanson was non existent today and has been every time i see him play, i suppose at the moment there is no real answer to a GOOD left back which speaks with in its self the amount of rotating on the left.

The reason i said Tiatto, was because i feel he gives his all and has had some good games, i realise he is a tempremental player, gets sent off alot etc, but i suppose tiatto was my last straw as a replacement for Nils.

Myself, i would just rather some one, anyone there then johanson which i state again IMO.

Posted

i live in oz so i wouldnt know but im surprised to see tiatto is judged this harshly. i think he's decent. but as i said cant comment on his recent form coz i havent seen him play since his man city days.
