SilverFox Posted 18 October 2004 Posted 18 October 2004 Both Strachan and Hollier(sp?) said they were interested in going back into management...Hollier said he was interested in Club management, but they didn't give Strachan a chance to say whether he preffered club or country...What do we think? Would either man ever flirt with the idea of coming to Leicester? And would we like Hollier...personally I think he could do a job. I know we don't sound like the best club, but if I was an outsider I would see the potential. We have an excellent stadium, excellent training facilities, and were the twelth best supported club in the country last season...get us back in the prem and there is massive potential to make Leicester into something...how many ambitious managers can resist that? SilverFox Posted 18 October 2004 Author Posted 18 October 2004 No one convinced by the logic( ) of my argument then?
Scow Posted 18 October 2004 Posted 18 October 2004 Houllier won't degrade himself to Championship level - Strachan is waiting for the Scotland job.
Ricey Posted 19 October 2004 Posted 19 October 2004 Whoever takes over is iin a no lose situation because things at the club are a mess and can't get much worse, the only way is up. I think if the board go to Gordan Strachan, show are enthuistiastic and ambitious then there is a good chance he would be persuaded. As for Houiller I think we are too low profile for him.
