Scow Posted 17 February 2006 Share Posted 17 February 2006 A lot of that is because he hasn't been left exposed by Smith lately. It has something to do with it. I just feel that Johansson is getting a run of games in a position, which he's developing in to with more confidence. And against Derby, Sylla wasn't much better than Smith defensively. Only probem with Johansson is that when he comes up against nippy wingers, who can beat him for pace cutting inside or heading towards the bye line, he inevitably struggles. The Brighton game highlighted that recently when brighton were feeding their winger Carole at every opportunity, who gave Johansson a bit of a 'mare in the second half.
