MON Posted 20 October 2004 Posted 20 October 2004 I have heard a rumour that this young fella from Liverpool is being lined up to come onloan for a few months!!!Would be class if we could pull it off. 27937[/snapback] sweet, but can he play on the wings or just as a striker. where you get your information from?
Ric Flair Posted 20 October 2004 Author Posted 20 October 2004 I would want him upfront to be honest even though he's not a target man, he'd still be better than Dublin up with Connolly. Although I have seen him play on the wing for Liverpool before. I get to hear about the odd bit of information from a particular hotel that some players stay at. This info has come from someone there who is friendly with some Liverpool bigwigs. Can't guarantee it's true as some info has been duff in the past, but I knew about Connolly before everyone as he was at the hotel when he came to start talks.
Scow Posted 20 October 2004 Posted 20 October 2004 I don't think we have any money for signings at the minute. I think we'll have to wait to offload a few before thinking of taking any on board. Although, I didn't think we had any money for the Harper loan signing - that came out the blue.
Guest Daniel Posted 20 October 2004 Posted 20 October 2004 Excellent news if its true. I would be happier if Mad Biker announced this, as id know its true but some rumours do turn out to be truth, fingers crossed. Brilliant youngster in my eyes.
Hoof Fox Posted 20 October 2004 Posted 20 October 2004 Would be a great signing if it is true, not a typical Bassett signing though but could be the reason why Harper was allowed to go back. Could this be a clue as to the identity of our new manager perhaps Houllier or Thompson ?
Anish Posted 20 October 2004 Posted 20 October 2004 Good prospect, but hasn't exactly been impressive for Liverpool yet. And I'd probably put money on it not being true.
Buzzell Posted 21 October 2004 Posted 21 October 2004 Maybe a possible loan target for Basset as he got rid off Harper?? I would like to see this lad here but I couldnt see him wanting to play here. I think He will go back to France
