Well he must be doing somthing behind the scenes because he hasnt done anything on the pitch to warrant an extension, unless Kelly see's him just as backup.

Is Sheehan still injured? Possible reason?

It seems that Brevett is clearly a good guy to have around anyway but it wouldn't surprise me if Kelly has spent the first month getting him fit. I watched him in the reserves and the possibility of him turning out for the first team was frightening.

If he's now in better shape and more atuned to matches then he may be of service as cover because Sheehan has only just returned to training and will be a while reaching match fitness if he gets there at all this season.

It's all academic anyway because, barring injury, no-one will take Nisse's role.
