I think another outsider on this would be Maybury - he's had the armband before.

But he's not the captain McCarthy has been, so he's strictly a rank outsider.

Another possibility is Twatto retaining the title if he's kept on... I certainly hope he isn't kept, and even if he is I would rather he didn't have club captain title.

You mention that Kisnorbo and Stearman have been rumoured as potential departees, I find it somewhat suprising that McCarthy hasn't been mentioned on this front yet. Perhaps his disciplinary record is putting people off (good lad, keep up the good work )
