Ultra Posted 1 June 2006 Posted 1 June 2006 I've got a ticket for the Millennium Stadium on Saturday. Does anyone else on here follow this sport, and/or remember when meetings used to be held at the old Blackbird Road Stadium?

Speedway is becoming quite popular again now. Makes it even better with (Not the best picture tbh, Not bad but i've seen her looking better) EDIT By the way, Jason Crump won last night.

I don't follow it, but I do remember it at Blackbird Road but only saw it once. To be honest I liked the noise, smell and atmosphere but having watched some of it last year on the box I found the races themselves where a bit boring most of the time.

Don't wanna see anyone hurt but some of the crashes are amazing! That makes it abit more exciting! (Most of the time no-one gets hurt anyway)

Crump has always been there or there-abouts glad he won it though one of the best in the world at the moment and has been for a few years!
Ultra Posted 4 June 2006 Author Posted 4 June 2006 Crump had a rather mixed evening last night but he won the races that mattered. Can't see anyone stopping him winning the world title this year. It was an excellent night out - superb venue, cracking atmosphere and plenty of thrills and spills. There seems to be a lot more overtaking during races nowadays than I remember from my youth. If anyone has a chance to go to a meeting, I strongly recommend it (even if it means a trip to Cov..)
