dandannieldanok Posted 18 July 2006 Posted 18 July 2006 Does anyone believe that a premiership club should snaffle this guy up? Although he was pretty poor in the World Cup he scored 30+ times in Serie A last season which despite the corruption is quite impressive. He will almost certainly leave with Fiorentina in Serie B and will surely be sold for a cut price.
Alexikokopops Posted 18 July 2006 Posted 18 July 2006 First to score 30 goals in Serie A since 1947 I believe
Benji Posted 18 July 2006 Posted 18 July 2006 I didn't think he was too bad at the world cup, although his scoring form wasn't there he looked very dangerous and looked as if he had the potential to score every time he was given the ball. I also think he could put his weight about and handle the stereotype English league defender. Would be a good signing for a team like Newcastle/Tottenham etc that are pushing for a top 6 finish or there abouts.
Ultra Posted 18 July 2006 Posted 18 July 2006 Would be an excellent signing for the geordies, especially as they're short of strikers right now. But could they afford him?

Ultra Posted 19 July 2006 Posted 19 July 2006 But it's not just about the transfer fee, it's the signing-on fee and salary as well (plus the obligatory bung"broker's fee" to the agent..) So the deal may still be out of their range.
