Teeno Posted 21 November 2004 Share Posted 21 November 2004 As writen by moi 9 men Foxes seal 8th unbeaten game Leicester league Melton Foxes u16 2 Royce Rangers u16 0 Spirit, determination and great character saw Melton Foxes win in style in what manager Randle described as one of the best team performances in his time with the club. The re-arranged fixture meant that only 9 players were available. Orme filled in for Woods in goal and Foxes started with a 4,3,1 formation, Mellors and Pollard both played in unfamiliar positions at the back and put in fine performances. Foxes started solidly and took a deserved lead when Dack netted his 12th of the season from close range. Foxes had the best of the chances in the first half and played a superb passing game, Mellors linked up well with Lapworth down the right and were a constant thorn in Rangers side. The second goal came when Dack played a neat through ball for Cole to finish calmly from 12 yards out. The score was 2-0 at half time and it ended like that as neither side netted in the second half which was full of chances for both sides. A hard earned 3 points means that Foxes title hopes and 8 game unbeaten run are still intact, and confidence is higher than ever. R. Orme, A. Mellors, M. Keightley, C. Glancy, J. Pollard, S. Dack, B.
