Daggers Posted 6 August 2006 Posted 6 August 2006 A time when women were harlots and men wore tights! I can't help but wonder if Sir Gawain would have baulked at the idea of paying a £3 parking fee on top of the £48 family ticket to get into Camelot? I wonder too if all attending at Runneymead to witness the signing of the Magna Carta Libertatum would have been miffed at waiting for an age to pay £6.95 for a poxy piece of fish and only get one sachet of Ye Olde Tartare Sauce? Finally, I am puzzled as to whether the Duke of York had to queue for over an hour in the blazing sun just to get a glimpse of the dungeons ~ only to give up because his children wanted a War of the Roses ice cream costing £1.50 per scoop? I hate to think what the other places are like that aren't Britains Best Medieval Experience.
Alexikokopops Posted 6 August 2006 Posted 6 August 2006 Should've had a word, I've got a cheap voucher for Warwick Castle. Went there last year after my exams (I go to Warwick Uni) and I don't remember it costing too much, but then again I wasn't paying for a family. And we didn't buy food in there, a trip to Tesco beforehand too care of that
Daggers Posted 6 August 2006 Author Posted 6 August 2006 If I go again, which I will because my lad was steaming around the house on his invisible nights horse up to bedtime, we'll take grub with us. And I enjoyed it. If anyone else is going I have been told that Tesco's do vouchers ... and you get to cut the long entry queue if you use them.

Mine voucher's on the back of my ticket from Alton Towers, owned by the same people. Go a 2 for 1 Voucher for Alton Towers too, can't go wrong.
