Northampton Town v Nottingham Forest

They are going to get promoted this year. Solid at the back, unspectacular going forward but will win a lot of games 1-0 like yesterday. I've never seen a team with two full-backs as err.... robust looking as Bennett and Morgan (sod it, Morgan just looks fat). Cullip and Breckin are solid in central defence. Clingan looks a decent player but wasn't impressed with Perch. Without Tyson they have no pace up front whatsoever but at that level Holt and Lester will do a job. With the benefit of hindsight I wished I'd gone to the Leicester game of course but it was hilarious to see Forest sky a penalty after 3 minutes (the third one they've missed in three games and exactly the same thing that happened in midweek) and have a goal disallowed.

See I told you are defence is good!Good start but we are missing Tyson.Too early to judge yet but I'm a little optimistic and hopefully we will be there and thereabouts come the end of the season.Apparently we're going to sign Junior Agogo this week, should be decent cover while Tyson's injured, but nothing more.Good three points yesterday and a good display, and most importantly of all, three wins out of three and three clean sheets :)

Poor Cobblers, another season of realisation that this is the highest league they'll ever perform in? I hope not, but I can't see them ever progressing to higher climes.

It'll be tough for them. They are a great little side but lack a cutting edge. Aiston is a really good player for League One and Burnell looks a decent signing but Taylor and Bojic aren't really up to the standard. McGleish does a lot of good work in the build-up but they had no clear chances yesterday. Kirk is a poacher but he missed some great chances sliding in on crosses on Tuesday at home to Brentford. Chambers WILL play in the Championship at least. He never fails to impress. Doig had a shocker yesterday but will be fairly solid at this level if a little slow. I wish we'd signed Chambers by now. He is better than Paddy McCarthy and we should have brought him in instead of McAuley even if it had cost a little bit more. You have to speculate to accumulate and I can see him being a £1million player at least in the future. Need a more imposing goalkeeper. They are fairly solid defensively thanks mainly to Chambers and Holt at left-back is a good player but they'll struggle to score goals from the first two home games' evidence.
