Matt Posted 23 August 2006 Posted 23 August 2006 And pushy parents is exactly why kids worry about exam results. I didn't care and my mum wants me to do well i'm life but she didn't care about my school/exam results because I always have known what I wanted to do and school and exam results didn't effect what I wanted to do at college/work...
cisono Posted 23 August 2006 Posted 23 August 2006 Talking of pushy parents. There is pushiness and pushiness: I always had really good grades in school. What was my dad's usual comment on saying my school report? "If only she could be better at home and do more housework"

That's not pushy parents though is it...it's because your results didn't matter. My parents are not pushy in the slightest but didn't stop me worrying about exam results as it had a direct effect on my future plans.

Well this is the example I have maybe its a unique situation I don't know but my mates parents basically gave him an ultimatum he did well in his exams thay bought him something/give him money, he did bad they'd take something away from him, his parents were very strict, as I said that situation probably doesn't happen alot but its just the idea I had in my head when I was typing my original message.
