Jay Posted 26 August 2006 Posted 26 August 2006 It might be hard to get a regular manager to take on the situation at Sunderland anyway - and without doubt there's going to be a good chance of failure whoever's appointed. Keane probably has more chance of keeping Sunderland up than most because he has a long history of being a winner and will convey that attitude to everyone around him - and I mean everyone. so did Greame Souness but it didn't help him at Newcastle!!!
lookwhaticando Posted 26 August 2006 Posted 26 August 2006 so did Greame Souness but it didn't help him at Newcastle!!! He was never expected to be a winner as manager at Newcastle, his previous managerial pedigree was hardly glittering, was it?
Jay Posted 26 August 2006 Posted 26 August 2006 He was never expected to be a winner as manager at Newcastle, his previous managerial pedigree was hardly glittering, was it? surely that confirms my point then!!!! Like Keane on the pitch Souness was a born winner a real fighter just the same as Keane but when it comes to managing players it doesn't always work the same
Ultra Posted 27 August 2006 Posted 27 August 2006 Apparently Keane won't take over until AFTER tomorrow's game. This means that his first home game as manager will be against us! Probably not good news...
