Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 No, not the rubbish television channel.... the rubbish 5-a-side football team! After our creditable 6-1 defeat in the opening game last week against SES we take on Double Decker tomorrow night in high spirits. I have explained to the team that our thumping last Wednesday is a sure sign we will be promoted. After many quizzical looks, I calmly pointed out that the last time Leicester were promoted we were dished out a 6-1 defeat in the second weekend of the season by Ipswich. It's an obvious parallel and is an indication that we have absolutely nothing to worry about, despite our complete lack of fitness, missing two open goals, general foul play and the captain spending most of the game propped up against our goalposts with breathing difficulties. We have signed one of my mates on loan for a few weeks until he has to go to college on Wednesday nights. Rumours have surfaced that a certain Foxestalk member will be appearing from early October onwards to replace him in the official "Fezzler's mate who can play a bit" role. Negotiations continue to continue (he's a mercenary, I tell you, a mercenary...!) If we are lucky we may avoid breaking the record for most goals conceded in a season. But don't bank on it.

Sounds like you have too many 'chosen few' in that team. - Is that an oxymoron?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 August 2006 Author Posted 29 August 2006 Sounds like you have too many 'chosen few' in that team. - Is that an oxymoron? We only have a few! And they are chosen, else we wouldn't field enough players! Cue Thracian telling us we should all be dropped and replaced by sons, nephews and grandkids..
Knighton Matt Posted 29 August 2006 Posted 29 August 2006 Come on the ITV! And seriously yes I am a foreign mercenary!!

Fez of Mahrez Posted 13 September 2006 Author Posted 13 September 2006 Big hopes tonight, we have a couple of impressive ringers coming in and we're playing a team who haven't won yet. Well tonight's their chance! You should all get behind us, we are the Leicester City of the 5-a-side world....... :pinch: In a couple of weeks, Fez and KM in the same team? We've got more passion for Leicester than the whole of the current first team put together. Come on you black and blue boys tonight!
