Two that stand out. The peasants were revolting in October but triumphed in November. Canaries derives from the Latin for dog 'canine' (?) Like some-one said it becomes obvious they are not all straight forward. I also knew the hundred years war did not last a hundred years but I could not say how long it did last. So just by knowing about four were not what you were supposed to answer I think I passed

Knew them two from watching QI, ha.

i think the panama hats come from paraguay as when we played them in the world cup they kept going on about it, catgut , is that from sheep?

Panama hats are from Ecuador.

The ship was called Bounty, it was originally called Bethia, so not sure if that's meant to be a trick question

Fido means "I am faithful" if I remember correctly.

I haven't done Latin for a while now, although I can reel off "The Witches Of Thessaly".

I thought Canine was a word related to canis in an etymological sense . My Latin is not up to spec seeing I am not one of the clever buggers on here that took it.
