If you have an interest in homelessness, addiction problems or mental health service provisions then why not drop them an email or read through the website.

I'm all for giving people a helping hand but tell me this and please don't take this the wrong way. How is it that we've had the same people for over 10 years now selling The Big Issue? I know they aren't going to get on the straight and narrow immediately but after 10 years you'd have thought they'd have sold enough Big Issues to have sorted themselves out wouldn't ya? Or maybe they love working and not begging

How is it that we've had the same people for over 10 years now selling The Big Issue? Not sure mate, we get a reasonable turnover in Erdington/Sutton. Maybe they'd miss your sunny face too much I guess some people need a bigger hand than others, some ruts are hard to get out of. The Big Issue is a different entity from Shelter mind you, but on the whole I find their aims laudable...even if the magazine is a bunch of London-centred tosh.
