Thracian Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 I'm wondering if having too many inactive and uninvolved footballers around is affecting the team spirit at City. There's ex-Leveinites like Douglas, Sylla, Maybury plus Williams from the same period, then there's pressure on Hughes and Nils, plus Elvis and McAuley aren't seeing much action. That all adds up to eight potentially disgruntled plays not to mention fringe players like Dodds who's probably not getting the football he thinks he deserves and Weso who probably believes he's fit and just hates watching the team in trouble. It just seems like too much potential for long faces and negative vibes around the place. Without having a reserve team to at least state their case and keep themselves up to scratch fitness wise, one has to wonder what are they doing and how are they all reacting? Has anyone heard what team spirit is really like right now?

I have no idea what the team spirit actually is like within the City camp right now, but if you believe some of the nonsense RK and Paddy M come out with, then the team spirit is probably fine, everybody puts the hours and effort in on the training ground and everybody wants to work hard to ensure things turn around and we get results. However, I think things are just being swept under the carpet and morale/team spirit is pretty low atm, what with the league position and people not getting regular games etc.. It just goes to show how important the Reserves League was last time around for the squad.
Tommeh Posted 15 September 2006 Posted 15 September 2006 I went down the training ground 2 days after the Burnley game and everything seemed fine and the players were getting on great. Was interesting to see at Luton 1st game that Hume and Johnson were really laid back and joking with eachother and those are the main two that i've been disappointed with!
