Leicester Lass Posted 24 September 2006 Posted 24 September 2006 Remember, you don't pick a sprinter to win a marathon, there's still a long way to go
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 24 September 2006 Posted 24 September 2006 DanTheFox is in Australia, he doesn't get to games and consequently has little input of worth on the whole issue of team performance, selection and motivation - he hasn't seen what we see. Pfft. Long balls from the defence, nothing coming forward from the midfield, strikers dashing from midfield to try and punt something through? I'm not deaf. Nor do I not pay attention to selections.
Thracian Posted 24 September 2006 Posted 24 September 2006 Oh behave yourself. We have been dreadful since April and there has been no sign of any improvement, we now have people grasping at straws about players like O'Grady and Porter being good enough for this division. Rob Kelly is not the answer and he doesn't deserve anymore time at all, he need punting immeadiately. If it wasn't so serious I'd laugh. O'Grady and Porter are perfectly good enough if he picks a team to compliment them. Football is a team game. You cannot have separate sections. Everyone has to cover, everyone has to pass, everyone has to support. And the tactics have to compliment the strengths of the players. This has not happened consistently for ages.
lcfc_jme Posted 24 September 2006 Posted 24 September 2006 The team that seems to put in a good, attacking, consistent performance for us is our cup side. Slate me if you will, but our cup side (albeit against weaker sides) seems to have more chemistry and understanding of each individual, and that leads to people knowing where everybody is going to be at a given time, and so aides the team in their attacking. We pose more threats and score more goals using our cup side, so maybe it's time we gave our "second-string" a run out in the league. After all, there's no harm in trying, and they can't do much worse than the shower of sh!t we watch week after week atm.
Chrysalis Posted 24 September 2006 Posted 24 September 2006 10 games is normally a good ball point how the season will turn out we at 9 now and I think its another relegation battle.
BartonFox Posted 24 September 2006 Posted 24 September 2006 10 games is normally a good ball point how the season will turn out we at 9 now and I think its another relegation battle. I told everyone that back in July. But then I just a mischief maker
