I for one am going to nail my flag to both boards!! I SUGGEST that all those who have recently have migrated for a better level of chat, revert and do what I am suggesting so that we can co-exist and both have meaningful fotty and other related discussion!! I am no Fifth Colomnist!!

Scow Posted 7 December 2004 Posted 7 December 2004 I think you're right, but alot of regulars like Lisa, Kerry, Shum, Neb, James et al rarely post on the boards anymore, and they were the pillars of the place IMO. I know alot of people have a sentimental attachment to the OS, but times moves on. Foxes Talk combines the best of both worlds I feel - The great posters from the OS posting on a forum with uses much better technology and is far more appealing to look at. The OS is a pain to use, and it's so ugly. The only thing that kept me posting on the OS was the people on there, but now that community is lost, it's extremely difficult to post on there...

I think this forum has improved recently although there are still one or two people who just can't resist either a dig at someone or have to bite, but I guess this will always be the case. You're right about quality I often have to smile to myself when people get congratulated for having so many posts, as you know I'd sooner recognise a good post when I see one. But hey each to there own. Hope you pay us all a vist again soon I shall look out for it.

Scow Posted 7 December 2004 Posted 7 December 2004 Davie - Post counts are congratulated because it recognises someone's committment and contribution to the forum - It represents a landmark, and perhaps gives encouragement to continue posting for whom it may concern. Afterall, a successful forum is comprised of posters with different styles and attitudes, otherwise it would be a boring place. Quality should be encouraged, but you'll get a preference for quantity on any other forum.

But the people are brilliant , Make's sense if people want to post on another site where the layout is alot better and you can actually see who make's the post's instead of searching through there signature for there username !
