Thracian Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 There can be few better reads that the Sunday Mercury and one comment from Graham Hill's report on Villa caught my eye... Remarking on referee Graham Poll's decision to lecture him on the touchline MON commented: "Graham said I shouldn't be contesting decisions and he was right. He said there was only one referee in the game...it would have been good if it was him."

In my opinion, someone who gives three yellow cards out should ref again at any level.

Good idea for a thread though.

Floating Fox Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 I cant believe he gave that goal for Chelsea, Blatent fowl on the keeper, he had it in his hands and the Angel insident, ffs! :pinch: MON is a legend, what a result, and IMO they should have won
lcfc_jme Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 How the fook could the linesman or the ref not have seen that foul on Angel?? My guess is that if a player from a team that isn't Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea did it, then they'd have been off. Bad officiating. What a top bloke MON is though. Quality gaffer, worked miracles on Villa.
Monk Posted 1 October 2006 Posted 1 October 2006 Good article in the times as well about how he gives players self belief and makes them stand up for one another.
