Scow Posted 10 December 2004 Posted 10 December 2004 Who knows if this game will go ahead now - Especially after being drawn at home to Blackpool in the FA Cup - If we beat them (Which we should do) then the FA Cup 4th round will take place on the weekend we're supposed to be playing this tournament. How much is it to hire out St Maggies, Jonesy?
Jonesy_rules Posted 10 December 2004 Author Posted 10 December 2004 got told by Benji that it's around £41p/h for both courts so we can ave an 11 a-side game! any other possible weekends?
Scow Posted 10 December 2004 Posted 10 December 2004 I'm not sure what other weekends are available. A lot of us go to all the away games, so it would have to happen if/when we get knocked out the FA Cup, or an international weekend. I can hire out a full size astro turf pitch in Mountsorrel for 2 hours at £30. I know it's not in the City, but it would save plenty of money.
Jonesy_rules Posted 10 December 2004 Author Posted 10 December 2004 not bad, but thething is some people may not be able to get there! i no i can't how would i?
Scow Posted 10 December 2004 Posted 10 December 2004 There is a regular bus service that runs every 10 minutes from the Bus Station to Mountsorrel, so it's easy to get here. Only a 20 minute journey.
Tomassi Posted 10 December 2004 Posted 10 December 2004 do remember that the £30 for two hours is for only half the pitch
Anish Posted 10 December 2004 Posted 10 December 2004 I hope this game does go ahead -the sooner the better! But it's going to be difficult to find a free weekend.
Teeno Posted 10 December 2004 Posted 10 December 2004 I'd don't think you should book it. I can't see us losing to Blackpool so home or away we'll have a game on the 29th so It looks like its a no no for me and a lot of others to.
Shum Posted 10 December 2004 Posted 10 December 2004 I don't think we should play at St Maggies - the pitch is well poor! I am sure we can find a better pitch!
Scow Posted 10 December 2004 Posted 10 December 2004 I can't play if its in Sorrel. 45561[/snapback] Any other suggestions apart from St Maggies would be useful - Goals is far too expensive and not ideal anyway.
andy_croydz Posted 11 December 2004 Posted 11 December 2004 yeh that st margrets pitch is shocking, its like diving on concrete for me you do one dive on there as a keeper and you more a less #### yourself up strait away!
Durnerz Posted 11 December 2004 Posted 11 December 2004 Sorrel's decent, but it doesn't look like we will play again until well into the new year. Mountsorrels easy for most, especially us loughborough folk!
Buzzell Posted 12 December 2004 Posted 12 December 2004 I dont care where it is but Maggies is quicker for me. Sorrells better tho!
