Hoddle Back To Spurs

Reports claim that Glenn Hoddle could be set for a surprise return to Tottenham if a proposed takeover bid for the White Hart Lane club comes off.

According to today's Sunday People, Hoddle held talks with prospective buyers of Spurs prior to being appointed as Wolves coach on a six-month contract.

Hoddle is quoted in the paper as saying: ``My contacts have already put in two bids for Tottenham but Daniel Levy won't budge at the moment.

``These guys are millionaires. They have put in bids of £55million and £65million but Levy wanted £90million for it.

``Daniel is having his last little go at it but if the pressure comes on then he'll run one day.

``Knowing Daniel as I know him, he will not like the pressure, especially if there is chanting against him from the fans - he is not an Alan Sugar and he is not a football man and he doesn't need all this - who does?

``I really do believe there is a chance of it happening if the team continue to struggle.

``Hopefully these guys would say: `Glenn, you run the football side. You work hand in hand with the chief executive and you have three or four people full-time on the scouting side.' The way they do it at the moment is amateurish.''

Hoddle denied all knowledge of this on skysports, and for some reason i totally believed him :w00t:

Yeah I saw him deny it on Sky Sports as well, Wolves are also denying it, but it would be brillient, if he left and went to Spurs, especially seeing as he was only apppointed not even 1 week ago!

It was even more funny because I have had friends and family round this afternoon, and I put Sky Sports text on and the headline appeared saying Hoddle linked with Spurs....I was sitting right next to a Wolves fan!

The wolves fan said he isn't quite sure on Hoddle yet!
