Guest Posted 16 December 2004 Posted 16 December 2004 Brum fed up with Sav At least this time he's making it obvious he wants out, instead of telling the fans how much he loves the club, and wants to stick with them!
davieG Posted 16 December 2004 Posted 16 December 2004 Brum fed up with SavAt least this time he's making it obvious he wants out, instead of telling the fans how much he loves the club, and wants to stick with them! 47050 He should realise that he's a very lucky guy. With limited talent he just happens to exists when, because of the structure of football in this country his limited skills are useful to middle of the road Premiership teams who. Unfortunately Teams, like Birmingham, Everton, Blackburn (and Leicester when they were up there) are desperate and cannot afford the best quality so they rely more heavily on spoilers. This demand for his limited skills has obviously gone to his head, as if it wasn't big enough already (need to complement those limited skills). Good luck to the guy but he really should keep his mouth firmly shut when it comes to fans.
Scow Posted 16 December 2004 Posted 16 December 2004 I think he has more talent than people give him credit for, he's not just merely a spoiler. His distribution and set pieces have improved beyond recognition since playing for us. I still think he's a twat though.

He is technically quite a good player and his set-pieces beat anything that Leicester have offered this season - though that's not saying much.
Guest Posted 17 December 2004 Posted 17 December 2004 I used to say the same when he was here, but his main problem is Mr Mouth starts shooting off before Mr Brain has even entered the building, let alone started work!! All this business with Olaf Mellberg says a lot about the guy.
Guest Daniel Posted 17 December 2004 Posted 17 December 2004 I think Savage is a class act, can't beat him. He's one of them people that livens everything up, poked Mellburg in the eye. Class.

But he's not, he's an average midfielder (shouldn't they all be ok at distribution and set pieces) who complements this with a get up and go in your face attitude which the fans he plays for love. If he upsets those fans or stops that part of his play you end up with Mr Average who's got a big mouth and a big attitude.

They have been class to be fair, extremely hard to defend against. His distribution was nothing special when he was with us, but as I said, it's improved immensely since being at Birmingham. He does a very important job for Birmingham, he's scored and created the most for them this season. Personally I agree about his attitude and arrogance - It's over the top and he's needs bringing down a peg or two.

I essentially agree with you Davie on a number of points, but I think he's a little better than average now, nothing special though.

Who knows! , just fine detail I guess, the important point on which we agree (I hope) is his arrogance, not to be confused with his commitment or 'fighting' spirit which is above avarage or is that decent

But yes, he's an arrogant twat who deserves to be shot. :w00t:

Bedford Fox Posted 18 December 2004 Posted 18 December 2004 I dont get how you can slag off sav. We all worshipedhim when he was at city then when he leaves coz we neededthe money you turn on him and call him names. He is a leg-end and above all THERES ONLY 1 ROBBIE SAVAGE!!!

He is a leg-end and above all THERES ONLY 1 ROBBIE SAVAGE!!! 47621 If you read what I've written you'll know it's nothing to do with him leaving LCFC, he's just got too bigheaded and full of himself, he's fast becoming a none-team player.
Bedford Fox Posted 18 December 2004 Posted 18 December 2004 sorry it just sounded like a bit of sour grapes coz he is not playing for lcfc any more. also would you be call him big headed if he played for us? if i am wrong then sorry!
gloucesterfox Posted 18 December 2004 Posted 18 December 2004 I don't think it is anything to do with him not being a City player, he used to get a good reception when he came to watch the odd City game after he left. I think the thing that broke any remaining fondness some City fans had for him was when he went up to the City supporters after we had played Brum at their place and kissed the Birmingham badge. I think that was a totally un-necessary insult to City and their fans. Now he is being paid by them I understand him being more interested in them but that was just a pointless insult by a rather dim bloke.
Bedford Fox Posted 18 December 2004 Posted 18 December 2004 ok agreed dim thing to do. but even know that is one big insult to city fans i still adore the guy and he always gave 100% for us. now he gone to brum he will give 100% for them thats sav.

You stick to you views. I've never really hated any LCFC player for leaving, well maybe Shilton for going to Stoke to 'better himself'.
Guest Daniel Posted 18 December 2004 Posted 18 December 2004 Robbie Savage s my favourite player to ever wear a City shirt, followed by Dickov. People move on to better places, i can understand that. Id have both of them back.
Bedford Fox Posted 18 December 2004 Posted 18 December 2004 Can i just say to BM SNAP! Sav and dickov are two of my favorite ever players aswell. my reason for this is a simply workrate! they always give 100%
Guest Daniel Posted 18 December 2004 Posted 18 December 2004 I wish we had someone like them now, nobody at this club gives a shit.
Bedford Fox Posted 18 December 2004 Posted 18 December 2004 Exactly right! dont get me wrong you need some quility as well thats what muzzy was but you also need a sav or dickov in there. But theres not many about theres them 2 smith but i cant think of many more.
