Mattock and Chambers

May not be as interesting as the takeover talk, but it was nice to see on the FA website that Chambers and Mattock both started for the England U-17's tonight.

Mattock played the whole game as he has throughout the three game tournament.

Chambers came on as sub for the first game, played the whole of the second match and then started and scored the second in a 2-0 win over Belgium tonight. Raced clear of the defence before scoring in a one on one.

Out of the entire squad of 22 only 4 (including our 2) were from outside the prem.

Maybe the future really is brighter today than it seemed just a short while ago.

Thank you jet plane, it highlights a thought I was having that the possible MM takeover may not be an opportunity of flooding the squad with new players but will put us in a position to better hold onto our youngsters. PS How're the kids?
