I know this should go in the match reaction thread, but i feel this deserves a topic of it's own.

The ref and his assitants were a complete joke today,

The referee was a total disgrace. They are against us when we are away and they are against us when we are at home..

To me it seems to be that the higher the league they are in / the more well known they are then the worse they are.

1st goal - never a corner, let alone a peno, and iirc levi got booted in the head in there box and the ref waved play on

2nd goal- ref passed it to there player to shoot (good finish)

3rd goal - Cant grumble mcauleys mistake

4th goal - exact same challenge that paddy got sent off for

Agreed. Rob Styles and Andy D'Urso are my most hated referees.

All in all, LCFC are just shit week in week out.

Referees decisions always matter more when you are a poor side because the likelihood is that you haven't got the quality to put it to one side and still win despite those decisions. Whilst the officialling was awful, its the team that needs VAST improvement.

With officials as bad as this it wouldn't matter what the team as like. Absolutely shocking.

I don't think that there's any other way forward than bringing in video replays for the top two leagues.

1. It was a peno, never a corner though.

I didn't realise it was Rob Styles that spanked 4 past us today. Obviously it was Styles fault McCarthey saw fit to launch a foul mouth tirade on him and put himself in the firing line.

We can all gripe about the ref, but then we are masking the true problem that our manager and team are really the worst since the early 80's.

The reason McCarthy got sent off was not becuase of one tackle. He'd already bin booked for dissent/foul language (maybe) and after that the next time Paddy made a foul Rob Styles was always going to send him off.
